My name is Darryl Brown, Jr., and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, and Clinical Supervisor Intern. I have always had a passion to work with others facing life challenges and storms. In fact, it was my time as a youth pastor that opened my eyes to a world of hurting people both within and beyond the walls of the Church. It was my experience with “cutters” and those struggling with addiction that motivated me to return to university to earn my master’s degree so that I could more effectively serve people in their greatest moment of need. I earned my Master of Arts degree in professional counseling from Liberty University in 2014 where I was recognized as a graduate with distinction. I have spent a combined 10 years in ministry, private practice, community mental health, and substance abuse treatment settings that have allowed me opportunity to work with children, teens, and families from all faiths and walks of life facing a wide-array of challenges.
I enjoy spending my free-time with my wife and our three children. I enjoy racing motocross, snowboarding, and wakeboarding albeit now on a lesser scale. Recently, I have embraced a passion for flying and enjoy traveling with my family. It is my passion for my family and my clients' wellbeing that motivates me to be the best clinician I can be.
